A Prayer for God's Perfect Peace

As I sit here and write this post I'm listening to the morning news. The heart-breaking reports of anti-Semitism, terrorism, severe weather, shootings and fights in schools, election ads filled with anger which further divide us, and so many more reports which may leave us feeling sad, frustrated, angry and even afraid. The world in which we, and the ones we love, are living is filled with these types of reports every day. But, we do not have to be afraid. We do not have to despair. We are able to have God's perfect peace, even in the sad and frustrating things which are happening.

As you go through this day, consider making the following prayer from Isaiah 26:3, 4 your "go-to" prayer whenever you feel frustrated, sad, angry or afraid. And, consider teaching it to your grandchildren as well . . .
Dear God, thank You for giving me Your perfect peace. Please help me trust You as I go through this day, no matter what I may face in this day. Please help me (and those I love) hold steadfastly and firmly to You in the blessings, challenges and frustrations in the coming day. Thank You for Your great love for me (us). Amen.
God's peace is perfect and is available to us and the ones we love - we just need to trust Him and hold tightly to Him. At all times, but especially with things as they are in the world, why wouldn't we want to trust Him!
