Hold Tightly & Believe Through Your Storm

As we all know, there are times in our lives, and in the lives of those we know and love, when we face storms. Sometimes the storms are actual storms, such as hurricane Michael and sometimes the storms are difficult and frightening times we face in our lives; such as when we, or someone we know and love has to deal with cancer, dementia, some other illness, death, job loss, children/grandchildren who wander from the faith, being hurt by people you trusted, divorce or any other storm we face.

It is all too easy in these times for us to despair, become angry, confused and to turn away from the One who loves us the most. At all times in our lives, but especially those times when we face storms, we need to hold tightly to the truth; God is in control. While He has never promised there will be no storms in our lives, He has promised to never leave us. Look at Deuteronomy 31:6 . . .
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
So, as Michael lands on the Florida Panhandle in a few hours and moves across the Southern States and as you face another day with your "storm", please hold on. Please choose to be strong and courageous - as you have been. Please do not be afraid or terrified, because the Lord your God goes with you; He will NEVER leave you nor forsake you.

So, for yourself, and for those who come behind you and who will find strength in your account of how God did for you what He said He will do, hold tightly and please believe - and know there are many of us who are praying for you.
