Likewise, if we have loved ones who do not believe or who are not walking with God, we are able to celebrate Jesus' birth at Christmas, but perhaps with not quite as much joy. However; take a look at this amazing promise from God in Jeremiah 24:6, 7 -
My eyes will watch over them for their good. I will build them up and not tear them down; I will plant them and not uproot them. I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord. They will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart. This Christmas if you have children and/or grandchildren who do not know or walk with God, make Jeremiah 24 your prayer for them . . .
Dear God, thank You for Your promise to watch over those I love for their good and to build them up, plant them and give them hearts to know You, so they will be your people and return to You with all their heart. Please open their eyes and draw them to You. Thank You for Your great love for them. Amen.
