The point is a very important one for us to be purposeful in handing down to our grandchildren - yes, there will be times in their lives when they do not understand what is happening to and around them. Yes, there will be things in the Bible which they do not understand; but, just because we do not understand something, it does not mean we are no longer able to believe in God.
Follow the directions you will find at this link for the Mystery Bag, but talk with your grandchildren about how Satan will use things which happen to us and things we do not understand in the Bible to try and poke holes in our "faith". But, when we trust in God with all our heart, rely on Him and know Him, He will keep our faith strong and intact. Ask your grandchildren about things they think may be used by Satan to "poke" holes in their faith and then pray together and ask God to keep their faith strong and intact.
This simple project, even though you may have already used it with your grandchildren, will give you the opportunity to have a very important conversation with them. Use once again, or teach your grandchildren the following Scripture blessing/prayer from Proverbs 3:5, 6 . . .
Trust in God with all my heart and do not depend on my own understanding. In everything I think, say and do, think about God and He will make my path straight!#grandmas #handingdownthefaith #itmatterswhatwedo #grandparentingonpurpose
