A Life of Integrity & Faithfulness

This year my husband will reach the age of 60. This seems impossible - how could he possibly be that old?! I am just a couple years behind him and it seems impossible to me for us to be reaching our 60's! I don't feel that old, but the truth is, there are definitely more years behind us than there are before us. But, while I do not know however many more years are before us, I do know when the day comes and we enter Heaven, we both want to hear God say, "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

When my day comes to enter Heaven, I want to hear those words! I want to serve faithfully and with integrity. I want to live the days I have remaining in a way which points others - especially my children and grandsons - to God.

I love this quote - no matter what, trust God for the outcome, because His love never changes! I want my grandsons, family, friends and all with whom I come in contact to know this is true. I want them to know they also are able to choose to trust God; no matter what.

  1. My husband & I recently attended a memorial service for a man from our church. His family praised his sense of humor, the jokes he told, how he insisted on good manners at the table and a few other quips. What they didn't say shouted more loudly than what they did say. No one spoke of his relationship with the Lord, how he could be found reading his Bible, how he spiritually led his family or that he had introduced Christ to them. While my husband & I have made our relationship with the Lord the center of our lives, this service made us want to make certain that when we are remembered it will be all about our relationship with the Lord!
