Enjoy What Is Before it Isn't Anymore

If you have young grandchildren, do all you are able to do to connect with them, to build a strong healthy relationship with them and to hand down the faith to them while they are young. As we all know, children grow up so very quickly - what we say and do while they are young absolutely matters.

Plus, what you say and do with your older grandchildren absolutely matters, too. Do all you are able to do to connect with them, to build a strong healthy relationship with them and to hand down the faith to them. Grandmas (and grandpas, too) are the second most influential people in the lives of their grandchildren - you do make a difference.

The day will come when you will no longer be on this Earth. Do not let the time you have left slip away - make it matter by paying attention to what truly lasts and matters the most - hand down the faith.

While connecting with grandchildren is significantly easier to do when they live near, do not let distance keep you from building a relationship with your grandchildren. I'm happy to let you know about a new book for grandparents who are "long distance grandparents". Wayne Rice, Legacy Coalition Summit Conference Director and co-founder of Youth Specialties, is the author, so while I have not yet read Long-Distance Grandparenting: Nurturing the Faith of Your Grandchildren When You Can't Be There in Person, I know it will be excellent. (You will find it available after their conference on the Legacy Coalition website.)
