A Prayer of David's 23rd Psalm

Dearest Lord Jesus,
Today, we pray our children and grandchildren, believe as King David believed . . .
Let them offer You praise by acknowledging, “The Lord is my Shepherd."
Let them receive Your loving care with open and grateful hearts.
Let them lie down in green pastures, free from fear, hunger, health issues and relational problems.
Let them have an insatiable thirst for the things of God and not of man.
Let them avoid the temptation of complacency, over-commitment or self-indulgence.
Let them walk in an intimate relationship with You, avoiding the enemy’s snares along this journey called life.
Let them recognize the Word of God as their authority, protection and ultimate source of comfort.
Let them come to the Communion table and feast on the sacrifice of Your love.
Let them receive a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit on their minds and in their thoughts.
Let them enjoy Your goodness and mercy, now and throughout eternity.
And last but not least, let them be assured they will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
In Your Name, we pray.
