Prayer for Our Grandchildren to See Jesus
Behold, the Lamb of God. He was pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities; by his wounds, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). By His blood, we are saved.
We pray for the opportunity to explore the miracle of the resurrection with our grandchildren. And when the opportunity arises, please help us share the story of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection in an age-appropriate way our tenderhearted grandchildren are able to understand.
We pray Easter comes to mean more to them than the latest spring fashions, egg hunts and chocolate covered Cadbury bunnies. We pray they look at the cross and comprehend how Your Son, in perfect obedience, offered Himself as a sacrifice for our sins. We pray they consider the empty tomb and understand Christ conquered death and now reigns as King of Kings and Lord of Lords at Your right hand. We pray they look into their hearts and discover Your Spirit living there.
We pray our grandchildren celebrate the divine work of Christ’s cross, resurrection and ascension today and forevermore.
In Christ’s Name, we pray.
