More Depends On Our Walk

You may be a grandma (or grandpa/ parent) who knows how to hand down the faith; one who enjoys doing so and knows how to plan those intentional opportunities to help the children you love learn to love, know and walk with God as well as watch for those unplanned opportunities to do so. Or, you may be a grandma (or grandpa/parent) who struggles with handing down the faith; one who is uncertain how to plan intentional opportunities or watch for those unplanned ones. Either way, there is one thing which matters for both of you . . . your own walk with God.

DL Moody is correct; "More depends on my walk than talk." While our, "talk" does matter, what we "do" speaks much louder than what we say. The ones we love watch what we do and if it does not match with what we say; they will know it. If we tell them to pray, but we do not; they will know it. If we tell them to love and serve others, but we do not; they will know. If we tell them to read their Bibles, but we do not; they will know. If we tell them to walk with God, but we do not; they will know.

It matters what we do; our "walk" matters.

So, whether you know how to hand down the faith, or are just learning, be sure your walk backs up your talk, so they see your faith - and most importantly - your God is real.
