Keep Your Eyes & Focus Clear

I have personally been blessed to see as God answered some really big prayer requests in the past month; perhaps you have been able to see this with answers to your prayers as well. Recalling how God has answered prayers and thanking Him for doing so, is a terrific way to start any time of prayer.

It is also a great way to help us keep our eyes and focus clear - God is far bigger than we think He is and He is able and willing to do every so much more than we are even able to begin to imagine!

I love this quote from Dr. Stan Mast - he is correct. If we start our prayers with our problems - the problems do get bigger . . . at least to us. But, if we start with a clear vision of Who God Is, our previously big problems go back to their rightful size - small.

This does not mean the things which concern us are not important or serious or significant or something about which you care deeply, but we are able to keep them in the correct proportion - God is bigger, far bigger than any problem we will ever face and He is faithful to hear, listen to and answer our prayers. (1 John 5:14, 15)

So, take your concerns and problems to God in prayer, but first remind yourself of Who God is and trust Him to do what He has said He will do.
