The Happier They Will Be

While we know being happy is not the most important thing in the world, we do, of course, want our grandchildren to experience happiness. People around the world for generations have searched for happiness - many have been willing to pay anything they have to be happy. Some have found a happiness with family, friends, possessions, but this happiness is often fleeting.

True and lasting happiness is found in God. As George Muller said, the more we know God, the closer we walk with Him, the deeper, fuller and more lasting will be the happiness we know as well. This is the truth.

Certainly encourage your grandchildren to build strong relationships with their family and friends; this will bring them a happiness which will make their lives more fulfilling. Certainly encourage your grandchildren to develop hearts which show care and love to others; this will bring them a happiness which will make their lives more fulfilling. Certainly encourage your grandchildren to work hard to earn and then choose carefully and care for the blessings life has to offer; this will bring them a happiness which will make their lives more fulfilling.

But, above all, encourage your grandchildren to build, develop and prioritize their own relationship and walk with God. Encourage them to spend time in their Bibles, so they are able to know who God is. Encourage them to be people who talk with God, so they are able to walk with Him. Teach and model these things to your grandchildren, because the more they know of God - and the more they know God - the happier they will be.
