Trust God When We Understand & When We Do Not

There are things I do not understand when it comes to life, God and the Bible, but I do believe the Bible is true, God's unfailing love is real and I do not have to go through this life alone, because God is faithful to stay with me, as He has promised. In a world where there are so many things I do not understand I am so thankful to be able to hold tightly to God's Word and believe it; all of it. Knowing I have things I do not understand about life, it is not just possible, but highly likely the ones I love will also experience things in their lives which they do not understand at one time or another as well.

So, I need to share with them the "whys" - the reasons they are able to believe in God and trust His Word with confidence. I also need to let them know about the times and things I don't understand, and share with them how I made the choice to not let the things I don't understand push me away from God, but instead want them to pull me closer to Him. I choose to trust God, believe and have faith when I understand and when I do not.

One of the blessing my grandsons, their poppa and I have been speaking for the past few years fits so well . . .
Trust in God with all my heart and do not depend on my own understanding. In everything I think, say and do, think about God and He will make my path straight. (Proverbs 3:5, 6)
Yes, trust God, when we understand and especially when we do not!
