Lives to Touch & a Difference to Make

Do you remember the day the rest of your life changed profoundly? The day when you first became a grandparent? the day when you first saw and held your first grandchild? I do. I remember when my son and daughter-in-law told me I was going to be a grandma - I was just 48, so I didn't really think I was quite old enough to be a grandma! But, I was extremely happy to hear a sweet little one would be arriving in a few months. I had absolutely no idea the difference he would make in my life. The first time I saw and held him, I knew beyond a doubt I would absolutely love him with my all. I have, and continue to do so - for him and his two brothers.

As long as I live, I am absolutely committed to make a difference in the lives of my precious grandchildren. There is nothing more important for me to do.

Tim and Darcy are right - while we still live on this Earth, we have, "precious lives to touch and a difference to make." This truth does not make our lives more difficult . . . it makes them easier as we are able to measure our choices by this standard . . . will what we do/say touch the lives of the ones we love and make a difference? Will we be doing/saying what matters the most?

If not, then obviously it is not the most important thing for us to do. If so, we will be making the best choice and will be doing what matters the most. So touch those lives and make a difference; you and the ones you love will be so glad you do!
