Prayer of Thanks
We celebrate autumn’s splendor, thanking You for painting the world in a fresh, new look—replacing the green of summer with a vast array of reds, oranges and golds. Thank You for an abundant harvest and respite from the intensity of summer.Likewise, we celebrate the autumn season of our lives. We thank You for giving us fresh eyes to discern what truly matters—the passing of our faith to our families. Thank You that we, as grandparents, have the potential to influence our grandchildren by blessing them, praying for them and telling “the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done” (Psalm 78:4).
Without a doubt, this is the most important harvest of all.
In Christ’s Name, we pray.
