So, about what do I pray? Certainly the list has a number of things on it and changes depending on the situations they are facing, but the main prayer requests I have for them are as follows . . .
- For God to draw them to Him. (John 6:44 - “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.") There is nothing more important to me than for my grandsons to put their trust in Jesus. for this to happen, God needs to draw them to Him, so I pray for this for them. I pray this for my daughter, son and daughter-in-law as well.
- For God to open their eyes. (2 Kings 6:16, 17 - And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, , so that he may see.” Then the opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.) I pray for my grandsons to have open eyes, so they will see their need for Jesus, for them to have open eyes, so they will be able to see what the wise and godly choices are for their lives in this world which is so very dark and so they will be able to see how God is working in their lives. I also pray for them to have open eyes, so they will be able to see the truth in this world where so many are deceived by Satan's lies. I pray for them to have open eyes. I pray this for my grown children as well.
- For God to protect them from the evil one. (John 17:15 -
