Wake Up, Get Up & Get Going

In 2018 the pastors at my church preached through the Book of Isaiah. When Pastor Jim Samra taught from Isaiah 51 and 52, (you will find the service at this link if you would like to hear what he said; it is well worth the 32 minutes it will take to watch and listen to him) he spoke about waking up and shared how in these verses God does two things - He gives us "permission" to ask Him to "wake up" when we are going through a difficult time and need to see Him work in our lives, and He asks us to "wake up" and get going.

If in 2019 you experienced a difficult time, if you have loved ones who are not walking with God, yet you prayed faithfully for them to return, you may need to call out to God and ask Him to do what He has promised to do - bring the wandering/lost lambs back. God will not zap you with lightening for asking Him to "wake up"; not at all. If you feel like you need to see God work in your life, respectfully ask Him to do so.

And, keep in mind, if you are a grandparent you likely have fewer days before you than you do behind you, so wake up! Make the most of the time before you in 2020 and do what God wants you to do - get going and let Him use you in your family, church, community or even your world. Make the most of the time you have left.

Take 32 minutes and listen to Jim - you will be so glad you did!
