What Kind of Legacy Will You Leave?

As look ahead to a new year and decade, we need to continue to focus, re-focus or begin to focus upon what matters . . . the type of legacy we will leave to our children and grandchildren. Will it be a legacy of faith? A legacy which pointed them to God? A legacy which left no doubt about what we believe and the choice we make to walk with God? Or not? As Cathy said; "Each of us will leave a legacy. The question is, what kind of legacy will you leave?

If you are confident in handing down the faith - continue to do what you are doing. If you are not sure what to do or where to start, then pick one or two things you are able to do - pray for your grandchildren and children, start a God's Great Deeds Jar and record all year what God does in big and small ways to show how He is working in your life and the lives of the ones you love - put them in a jar and then plan next year to share them with your family to thank God for His blessings. You could get together with other grandmas (grandpas/parents) and pray for the ones you love. Start a grandparenting group at your church and help one another with resources and opportunities to hand down the faith. Find resources to use as you hand down the faith to your grandchildren and children - check this link and this link for resources.

It is the heart's desire of the Grandmas with Heart for this blog to be a source which will equip, encourage and empower you to hand down the faith to your children and your children's children. It is why we post every day - to provide information, ideas and resources to help you as you hand down the faith to the ones God has given to you.
