Encourage the Children You Love with "You Did It!"

Children are like sponges - they soak up the things we say to them and when those things are encouraging, they grow. As Linda said, when we tell them "You did it!"  it gives the children we love a shot of serotonin, the feel-good chemical in their brain. This is the way we want our grandchildren/children to grow - being encouraged and built up and this is one of the most important things we grandmas (grandpas/ parents) are able to do for them.

So, watch for opportunities to encourage the children you love with the words, "You did it!" and use them often. Just be sure you are sincere in your encouragement and then watch them grow into strong, healthy, confident adults who will know to do the same thing with the children they love as they become parents and one day grandparents. Something so simple as saying, "You did it!" will not only build up your grandchildren/children today, but will impact generations yet unborn. It - and you - will make a difference.
