Redeem the Days & Take Every Opportunity

I love the feature on facebook called, "Memories" where it shows each day things I wrote or shared on the same day in previous years. When posts/photos of my grandchildren show up I nearly always am amazed to see how much they have grown. I wonder at how time has flown and enjoy seeing and reading about when they were younger.

The days are passing so quickly. We must be intentional when it comes to redeeming the days and take every opportunity we have to hand down a rich heritage of faith to the children God has given to us. Once the days are gone, they are gone; we will not get them back. We must be focused upon planning opportunities to hand down the faith and watching for unplanned opportunities to do so as well.

We very likely have fewer days before us than we do behind us, so we must make the most of the time we have and model what it looks like to live a life as someone who loves, knows, walks and talks with God. We must make the most of the time we have and share our faith accounts of how God has been faithful in our lives in the past, the ways He shows He is faithful today and why we are able to believe He will be faithful in the future. We must make the most of the time to share why we are able to believe in God and trust His Word with confidence. We must make the most of the time we have to help the ones we love learn to know, love, walk and talk with God on their own, so they have a walk of their own with God.

These things matter - far more than anything else we could do in the days we have remaining, so we must redeem these days.
