The Power of Your Face

I am a most blessed grandma, one reason I am blessed is because I live close to my grandsons (about a ten minute drive) and they spend time with me in the Summer when their parents are at work. This past Summer the boys were at my house when my youngest grandson asked me; "Grandma, how do you do that?" I didn't know what I was doing, so I asked him. He said; "You smile all the time. How do you do it?" I did not realize I smile all the time, so I told him this, but then said; "I am happy you boys are at my house, I do love having you here, so my happiness must show on my face."

Another time the boys where here they wanted to watch the movie, "Inside Out". When the movie was over, they said; "Grandma, you are like the character 'Joy'!" Then my oldest grandson said; "When I think of joy, I think of you." I am so happy to hear these things. It truly matters to me whether my grandsons know and truly believe I love them, am so thankful for them and they make my heart happy. One day when I am gone, I want my grandsons to remember how I loved them - and my face/actions backed up my words.

We need to live in such a way so our face, "advertises our philosophy of life." As the old saying goes; "Actions speak louder than words." This is so true. If we say we love our grandchildren/ children, then our actions need to show we love them - and this should be advertised on our face as well. If we say God loves our grandchildren/children, then our actions need to show what it looks like to live as someone who knows God loves them - and this should be advertised on our face as well. If we say talking with God is one of the most amazing things we will ever do in our lives, then our actions need to show we talk with God and what it looks like when He answers our prayers - and this should be advertised on our face as well. If we say we are so thankful for our family and they make our heart happy, then our actions need to show this happiness/joy - and it should absolutely be advertised on our face as well.

These are just a few examples, but take to heart the truth about how our actions need to back up our words - and should be shown on our face as well. Do not underestimate the power of your face!
