Plan a Fun, Distance Watching Party & Watch Pilgrim's Progress For Free

Earlier this week the Legacy Coalition shared a link on their facebook page for an opportunity to watch the animated movie - Pilgrim's Progress, so today I want to share this link with you along with some ideas for ways you are able to use it to connect with your grandchildren - especially during this time when you may be staying away from them.

You will find the movie at this link. You will need to enter your email, and will then be able to watch it for free through April 30, 2020. The movie is two hours long, so I suggest watching it before you share it as you will need to determine if it is a movie your grandchildren will watch. Pilgrim's Progress is a 300 year old book, so even though they did a decent job making it into a movie children will watch, not all children will understand it. And, while parts of it move along well, some parts do drag. Watch it first and if you think your grandchildren will enjoy it, plan a distance watching party. Consider the following ideas for a fun event - which you are able to hold from a distance - with the children you love . . .
  • Share the link.
  • Set a date and time for your movie watching party.
  • Send your grandchildren popcorn, their favorite treats and even fun party plates/bowls/napkins/cups.
  • Start watching the movie at the same time, so when it is finished, you are able to connect over the phone, through facebook, hangouts or zoom.
  • Connect to ask what they thought of the movie - which part did they like the best, what was confusing, and talk about the message behind the movie.
Pilgrim's Progress is one way you are able to connect with the children you love from a distance and do something special and fun together. Check it out and if it seems like a movie your grandchildren will enjoy - plan a distance watching party!
