Remember - Nothing is Impossible for Him

Today is absolutely a day for us to remember, no matter what we face, we are loved and empowered by God - the One Who brought the universe into existence with the mere sound of His voice. Nothing is impossible for Him. We have the opportunity to model to our family what it looks like for us to live as people who trust God's faithful love. When people around us panic - we are able to remain calm. When people around us show fear - we are able to show trust.

As many of us live where Covid-19 is infecting people, our lives have changed. We may have grandchildren whose schools are closed; which means we may be seeing more of our grandchildren as they stay with us while their parents are at work. It may impact work, church, and with so many people panicking, it may show in the places where we shop as shelves are empty.

But we have the opportunity to show the ones we love what it looks like to trust God - especially when others around us may be full of fear. We have the opportunity to show the ones we love what it looks like to be people who pray - at all times, but especially when faced with difficult times. We have the opportunity to expand our prayers to include people around the world, people who are on the front lines serving those who are infected and families we do not even know who deal with loved ones who become ill.

We have the opportunity to show the words we say about how nothing is impossible for God are real - they are the bedrock of what we believe and influence how we live. Long after Covid-19 passes, the ones we love will remember how we responded - let it be with confidence in knowing nothing is impossible for God and we are loved and empowered by Him.
