You are Useful & Priceless

The older we get, the easier it is for us to believe a lie - the lie which says older people have less to offer. This is absolutely not true. We have much to offer. As Joni says; "In God's hands we are useful and priceless."

Certainly there are things like cooking, fixing cars, working with tools, learning manners, teaching children to read, and other every-day skills which we grandparents are able to teach the children we love. But, along with these every-day skills, we are able to teach the most important things - Who God is, why we are able to believe He is real and the Bible is true, how to pray, our own family's Faith & Prayer History and how to walk with God.

Please believe the truth - you are so very useful and more importantly, you are priceless. Build a strong relationship with your grandchildren, so as they go through life with all its unknowns and challenges, they will see you as an "anchor" in their life - they will see you as someone they are able to trust and to whom they are able to turn. Oh yes, you are priceless - especially when it comes to handing down the faith to the children you love.
