Be Faithful to Use Your Influence - Be Part of the Global Day of Fasting & Prayer

Yesterday, today and tomorrow God has asked, is asking and will continue to ask us to do one thing when it comes to being a grandma (or grandpa/parent). He wants us to be faithful to use the influence we have to hand down the faith to the grandchildren/ children He has given to us. He does not ask us for specific results - it is His job to draw the ones we love to Him, closer to Him and back to Him - not our job. He just asks us to use the influence He has given to us to hand down the faith.

So, how do we do this? Well, there are several ways we use our influence to hand down the faith, but prayer and fasting are definitely a vital part for us in doing this. So, today I want to invite you to take part in the Global Day of Fasting & Prayer.

"Think about it. Like a computer which become clogged with a lot of irrelevant information and viruses, there comes a time in our lives when we need to hit the reset button or submit to some internal scrubbing. Perhaps this is what God is saying to us, His people, throughout the world. Maybe He is saying; 'Let Me invite you to a reset in your life, awaken your heart to My purposes, and get things back to where what matters is what matters to Me.' God made us for an intimate relationship with Him, and because of His grace calls us to be salt and light in a lost world.

This is the reason we are inviting you to be part of a global gathering of God's people on April 15th for a Global Day of Fasting and Prayer. Fasting is a process of resetting and re-calibration. In fasting we let go of those things we take for granted and which make us so comfortable we are not able to hear or see what we need to hear and see. Fasting is hitting the reset button.

Prayer is submitting ourselves to the sovereign rule of God to allow Him to search our own hearts and to intercede on behalf of those who are suffering and those who are lost. We ask for God's mercy, not merely so we may escape the effects of a virus, but so God may show the world His glory, His power and His grace. Then the nations will know He is God, fear Him, and put their trust in Him.

You will receive more information about the April 15 Global Day of Fasting and Prayer in the coming days both by email and social media. Share the posts you receive and help spread the information by word of mouth. You are the voices calling upon people in every nation to a day of fasting and prayer on April 15. Together we will humble ourselves by confessing our sins, and seeking the Lord's favor to the praise of His glorious grace. Will you join us?

I remind you of the words of God through the prophet Joel: 'Even now return to me with all your heart, with fasting, weeping and mourning. The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity. Who knows? He may turn and have pity and leave behind a blessing' (Joel 2:12-14)

To participate in this Global Day of Fasting and Prayer, you don't have to join anything or sign up for anything. You only have to do it. We do have a free Fasting and Prayer Guide to help you if you want to use it. CLICK HERE
 to download your copy.

Thank you for choosing to be part of this important time of fasting and prayer. Even though we are not able to gather together in one place, our hearts are able to be united as one voice to our gracious and all-powerful God who may turn and have pity and pour out His blessing.
