For example, in her book, Linda explains how as Creator of everything, God had an amazing, perfect plan for all He created; including you and I and the ones we love. He made the incredible choice to love us and He wants us to love Him back. But, He does not force any of us to do so. It is a choice He allows us to make; and the ones we love as well.
The Bible describes God as the "Potter" and we are the "clay" which He shapes into what He knows is best. We need to choose to love and follow Him; as do the ones we love. Look at Isaiah 64:8 -
But now, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You are our Potter; we are all the work of Your hand.We all are the work of His hand. Sometimes difficult times come our way and/or into the lives of the ones we love, but God, our "Potter" is able to make something beautiful from even our "scratches" and "chips" - we need to trust Him - look at 2 Corinthians 4:7 and Jeremiah 18:4 -
But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.
And the vessel He was making of clay was spoiled in the potter's hand, and He reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the Potter to do.When difficult times come, and they will to us all, we need to trust Him to show His surpassing power as He reshapes and smooths out what He is creating in us and in the ones we love. When the ones we love are going through difficult times, the waiting time as God does His work is often difficult for us, but if you are in this place, trust God. He is the Potter, He loves us and the ones we love and He knows what He is doing.
