Make Sure They Know - Pray & Let God Worry

Life, as we all currently know and experience it, seems to have so many things about which we - and the ones we love - worry. Will our grandchildren return to their school classes? If so, will they be safe? Will someone we love end up with Covid-19? Will we get Covid-19? Will the social unrest related to injustice and racism bring about needed and lasting changes? What will happen with the election? How will the country respond regardless of who wins? Oh there are certainly no shortage of things about which we worry.

But, we do not have to worry. Yesterday my husband and I were so blessed to be able to hear a dear friend speak (I'm so thankful for the ability to connect on-line even though he was in New York State and we were in Michigan.) As the service began the people in the church sang the song, "The Steadfast Love of the Lord Never Ceases" based on Lamentations 3:22, 23, and I have not been able to get this song out of my head - I even remember it in my mind throughout the night! These verses give us not only "a" reason, but "the" reason we do not have to worry, no matter what is happening in the world around us -
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
No matter what, God's steadfast love and His mercies NEVER stops. His faithfulness is bigger than we will ever imagine. So, when we look at the world around us, rather than see the things which cause us to worry, we need to remember God's steadfast love, mercy, and faithfulness and then talk with Him.

We need to model and teach this to our grandchildren as well. I am going to make these verses my "morning song". I found a beautiful link where this song is sung - and so beautifully sung. I plan to play it each morning. What better way to start my day. (You will find it at this link.) Consider making it your "morning song" and then share it with the people you love. I would love if my grandsons were to come to do this - we will be listening to it when they are at my house for sure!

The answer to worry is to fill our hearts and minds with the truth of Scripture and talk with God about it all. Make sure your grandchildren know this and remember -
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning, new  every morning; great is your faithfulness, Oh Lord, great is your faithfulness.
