So, what does it look like to hand down confident faith? Do we have to be "super grandparents" to do this or have years of experience teaching others? No, we just have to be the people God made us to be, have a willing heart, and be committed to not give up. Consider the following ways you are able to hand down committed faith . . .
- Share how God has answered your prayers throughout your lifetime.
- Always be watching for how God works in your life and the lives of your family and be quick to draw attention to those times.
- Look for opportunities to connect the things your family experiences to similar situations in the Bible and how we know God worked in then.
- Plan intentional times when you are able to show the children you love why you know God is real and you are able to trust Him. We are working through our new books in the "Life on the 'Goldilocks Planet'" curriculum series (you will find it at this link.) When my grandsons are at my house for dinner, we read about one of the animals, talk about how it shows us God knew what He was doing when He designed and created it "just right", and how it helps us know we are able to trust Him to do the same for us.
