Do Not Forget

We grandmas (and grandpas/ parents, too) know while our grandchildren may look like their siblings, and may have similar interests, they truly are all unique individuals. I'm sure you agree they certainly bring joy to our lives and we are most blessed to be their grandma (grandpa/parents).

But, while we are able to enjoy our grandchildren, and the time we spend with them, we need to keep front and center the truth about how, "co-laboring over the sculpting of their souls is a sacred vocation, a humbling privilege." We must remember God's plan is for us as grandmas (grandpas/ parents) to be the primary people who hand down confident faith to these children we love.

We need to take this to heart and focus upon our call - it won't happen if we just do nothing. And if you, like many grandparents, have grown children who are not handing down confident faith to your grandchildren, who will do this if you do not? Who will pray for them if you do not? Who will help them understand why they are able to believe God is real and trust Him with confidence if you do not? We need to be people who take our sacred vocation seriously and who are totally committed to handing down confident faith.

If you are confident when it comes to how to hand down confident faith - then continue what you are doing. If you are not sure how to go about handing down confident faith, definitely take a look at the Life on the Goldilocks Planet curriculum/book series in our bookstore - these books will help you - whether you are confident in handing down confident faith, or not.

Remember, "co-laboring over the sculpting of their souls is a sacred vocation, a humbling privilege." Do not forget.
