Prayer for Eyes Which are Open

I know I have shared these prayers with you before, but they are prayers I pray often for my grandsons, so I thought I'd share them again with you today.

So often, far too often, the traps in this world look appealing - not at all like traps. They look like; "just the way people do things" and like there is nothing wrong with them. But traps are traps, no matter how they are packaged.

Today I'm praying Psalms 25 for my family and asking God to help them have eyes which are open, so they are not side-tracked or derailed and so they will be able to see the traps for what they truly are - traps. If they should find themselves in a trap, I pray they will look to God and trust Him to rescue them - He always will!

Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.   Psalm 25:4,5
Feel free to make these prayers your own for yourself and for the ones you love.

Dear God, on this day I turn my hope to You. My God, I trust in You. Please help me make choices which are wise and learn to wait for you. Please make Your ways known to me, teach me Your paths, guide me in Your truth and teach me, because You are the God of my salvation! I will wait for You all day long! Dear LORD please remember Your compassion and Your faithful love which have existed forever. Because of Your faithful love, please do not remember my sins, but instead remember me. You are good and upright; thank You for showing me the way. Please lead me in what is right and teach me Your way, because all Your ways show Your faithful love and truth!
Dear God, on this day, it is my prayer my grandchildren/ children will turn their hope to You and trust in You, because You are their God. When they experience difficult times with others, please help them remember they need to wait for You and make wise choices. For any of my grandchildren/children who have not yet turned to You, or who have turned away from You, please open their eyes and draw them to You - or back to You, so they will trust in You. As the ones I love go through this day, please bring to their minds how You are good and upright and You show them the way. Please lead them in what is right and teach them Your way, because all Your ways show Your faithful love and truth. Thank You for Your great love for us; I love You, too! Amen!
