Creation Shows God's Precision, Design & How We are Able to Trust Him

Here where I live it still looks quite Wintry outside - we received almost six additional inches of snow last night and it is currently only five degrees outside. While it is winter outside today, in just a few days we will experience a "heat wave" as we will be knocking on the door of the 40's with warmer weather ahead from there. Spring will be upon us before we know it!

I live in the country - farms, woods, creeks, lakes are my "neighbors" and so for us it is very easy to see, and enjoy God's amazing creation when we just look outside my windows. Most days we see deer, sometimes wild turkeys. We hear coyotes in the evening and sometimes see fox. Across the street there are woods, and it won't be long before the trees are covered in leaves and the beauty of Spring is everywhere we look.

But, whether you live in the country, on a mountain, by the ocean or in a city, God's amazing, precise, planned, intentional, designed, ordered creation is all around us and we are able to point it out to the children we love, so they are able to see God is a God of order, precision and design - and so is the world around us. Consider the following information . . .

I tend not to wonder or think about things like the air we breathe and the percentages of the "ingredients" which make up this air we breathe; such as the nitrogen and oxygen. But, when I read the following information about our air, I was amazed! Did you know . . .
  • The air we breathe is the perfect combination and perfect balance.  At 79% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, it is perfectly fit for us to breathe . . . so we are able to live!
  • If the nitrogen and oxygen in our air were divided in half with each other, we would all die immediately; due to having too much nitric oxide.
  • If there was slightly less nitrogen we would laugh our heads off all the time . . . and sound like the Chipmunks when we talk, because our air would be the same as laughing gas!
God knew exactly what we need and He designed it perfectly. Order is obvious in the world around us and order does not come from chaos. If our world, "just happened" by a, "big bang" we would certainly be able to classify this, "big bang" as "chaos". How is it even remotely possible for our ordered, precise, specific world to just, "happen" from chaos? It is not possible. It takes far, far more faith to believe our world, which has to be specifically as it is, just happened from chaos, than it does to believe an all-powerful, all-knowing God designed it all to be as it is on purpose. Look at how Psalms 8:3, 4 says it . . .
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
God planned this world on which we live and designed it to be just exactly as we need it to be for us to live. Everything around us, including the air we breathe, shows God's great love for us. Have fun sharing this, "air info" with your grandchildren, and remind them how the God Who created the world and the air also created them; He loves them and has amazing plans for them - plans for their good, not their harm, plans which give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11-14). For more fun science info you are able to share with your grandchildren, check out the Life on the Goldilocks Planet series at this link

As incredible as it is to know this - and it is - it is even more amazing how this God wants them to know Him and He wants to know them - they are able to walk and talk with Him! Encourage the children you love to choose to be people who know, walk and talk with God.

And, remind them of how the precision they see in the world around them and the air they breathe is just another of the many reasons for why we are able to believe in God and trust His Word with confidence - it is logical and makes sense to do so. And since He shows this precision and design in the world around us, we are able to trust Him to have made each of us exactly as we should be - He did not make any mistakes and we are able to trust Him to have amazing plans for our lives.
